Holy Basil Leaves
Holy Basil Leaves
Holy basil also known as Tulsi, Tulasi, and Queen of the Herbs is native to West Africa, North-Central India, Australia, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Many studies have found that Holy Basil has therapeutic properties that work by helping your body cope with various stressors (i.e. emotional stress, infections, or other medical conditions). Ayurvedic practitioners recommend drinking holy basil as a tea using the Tulsi leaves. Drinking this tea can be as calming as yoga and can allow for a sharper mind, relaxation, and a sense of well-being. Holy basil is rich in vitamin A & C, calcium, zinc, iron, chlorophyll and vitamin K. One-half cup of fresh Tulsi leaves contains almost your full daily recommended intake of vitamin K which is a fat-soluble micronutrient that helps support heart health and bone mineralization.
